David Beckham is already been revealed as the new face of Belstaff, luxury men’s and womenswear, and was guest of honour at the luxury label’s flagship store opening during London Fashion Week. He happily posed for the cameras wearing a glamorously roughed-up motorcross jacket. No surprise then that he has just been announced as the face of Belstaff’s 2014 global advertising campaign.
The images, lensed by photographer Peter Lindbergh, were shot on location in Buckinghamshire – a world away from the urban jungle of Bond Street – and feature Becks lounging in a field with a glamorous black-clad coterie of fellow bikers. The concept behind the campaign was a band of brothers travelling across the English countryside with Beckham at its helm.
“I’ve always loved motorbikes,” Beckham told Vogue at the Belstaff store opening in London. “But I’ve never really been allowed to ride them. Obviously now that I’ve finished playing, it’s enabled me to spend more time on my bikes, which is great.”
The Beckham for Belstaff collection will launch exclusively at Belstaff stores worldwide and Belstaff.com in March 2014, and will then roll out with select global distribution in June 2014.
