Brit Awards 2014 – The Winners

Brit Awards 2014 – Lat night music-icon David Bowie won the award for Best Male Solo Artist. Unforunately David was not present to collect the award himslef, or as presenter Noël Gallagher said  “he’s too cool for this shit”. Luckely Bowie had aranged a very good replacement. No one les than Super model Kate Moss came to collect his prize. Wearing a ‘Ziggy Stardust’ outfit she read a text from David Jones (David’s real name), ending with a plea to all Scotts to reject independence in the referendum next september.

“I’m completely delighted to have a Brit for being the best male – but I am, aren’t I Kate? Yes. I think it’s a great way to end the day,” the speech said, read by Kate Moss. “Thank you very, very much and Scotland stay with us.”

Bastille won Best Breakthrough Act, while Daft Punk was given the International Group prize. Other winners included Arctic Monkeys, who received Best Group and British Album of the Year for the third time – the first time. Ellie Goulding was named as the Best Female Solo Artist, who became her award by the hands of Prince – who last attended the event in 1995.

There were performances by Beyoncé (the surprise act), Katy Perry, Pharrell, Arctic Monkeys, Nile Rodgersl and Rudimental.
