Supermodel Carmen Dell’Orefice created as a doll
Tonner Doll Co. in Kingston, New York has created and produced what it said to be the first doll that is made after the image of a mature woman.
The chief executive officer of the compagny, Robert Tonner said there will be three or four more different Dell’Orefice dolls, with different fashionable styles.
Carmen Dell’Orefice who meanwhile is in her eighties, has worked in fashion since she was 15 years old. In her younger years she was the face of Chanel and Dior and starred on renowned fashion magazines from around the world. She also was the muse of Salvador Dalí.
“She’s so gorgeous,” Robert Tonner said, “Why shouldn’t she be a beauty icon like a 20- or 30-year-old?”
