COACH Wins Battle Anti-Fake War – American fahion brand Coach has won a lawsuit against the owner of Florida-based flea market Swap Shop, which was selling fake Coach products, in over 2000 of their shops. The owner of the property has been held personal responsible for the counterfelt merchandise. He will have to pay Coach 5,5 million settlement.
According to the records, the Swap Shop has been selling the fake goods since 2004. Possibly the offence has started earlier, but this was not proven. According to WWD, Coach will continue to surch for shops that tsell fake products of their brand. The label has filed more than 700 lawsuits in the past years.
“We are very proud, we have won this case” said Nancy Axilrod on behave of Coach “It was a long and hard fight. In the past they always ignored us, when we demanded them to stop selling the merchandise”.
