Isabel Marant has teamed up with Oliver Peoples sunglasses, a brand from Los Angeles. The two brands collaborated in the design of two pairs of sunglasses which will be for sale from February. The shade are a combination of the Paris je-ne-sais-quoi style of Marant and the Californian cool of Oliver Peoples.
Creative director of Oliver Peoples, Larry Leight, is a fan of Isabel Marant and is very happy that he now has had the chance to work with the designer. About Marant he says: “she understands the concept of understated cool and that fits perfectly with the casual style of L.A. people.”. One of the sunglasses is a teardrop aviator for men and is called ‘Matt’, the other is an oversized female model for ladies and is called ‘Daria’, presumably referring to Daria Werbowy, the model she loves so much. Both glasses are available in five colors. From classic Silver with grey to softer colors as pink gold and peach tones. Both of them are a more modern version of designs from the 1970s. Larry Leight calls the glasses “classy with a vintage feel”.
The sunglasses will be for sale, starting next week, in the shops of Isabel Marant and Oliver Peoples
