Louis Vuitton changes focus – Nicolas Ghesquiere, who recently became the head designer of Louis Vuitton, is also designing the resort collection for the French fashion house. This was revealed by fashion journalist Vanessa Friedman on her Twitter account. Marc Jacobs, the predecessor of Ghesquière who worked for the label for 16 years, designed only the Spring-Summer and Fall Winter collections.
During the Fall- Winter 2014 show last month, it became clear that Nicolas focuses on the ready-to-wear line of the brand. Clothing previously always came on second place, next to the accessories of the brand, because it was more profitable. The fact that Ghesquière is now designing four collections a year, shows things are going to change and clothes will be more inportant to the brand.
In april Nicolas his show Resort collecdtion 2015 will be revealed in a show at a luxury location in Monaco. Previously Chanel and Dior have showed their Resort Collection in this city.
