The famous YSL logo, designed in 1961 by Cassandre, is shown on the new range of bags.
Hedi Slimane has revealed his new line of bags and accessories for Yves Saint laurent, ‘The Monogram collection’. The new collection consists of 30 different pieces, featuring a travel bag and a selection of accessories, such as a clutch, card holder and iPad sleeve. All the items are manufactured in Saint Laurent‘s Italy-based leather workshop. The monogram designed by Hedi Slimane is a unique print inspired by the geometric links of the Art Deco-style Babylone curb chain, and the repetition of the famous YSL logo created by artist Cassandre in 1961. The motifs are inspired by effects of time-worn materials, each piece is finished with a final touch of luxury: Saint Laurent embossed in gold letters. The bags are available in the Saint Laurent stores and via ysl.com.
