Naomi Campbell Fashion Legend – Naomi Campbell has been enlisted for Vogue Festival’s Fashion Legends talk. She has a lot of upcoming projects, to prove she sure belongs there.
Besides her ongoing philanthropic projects in Africa and campaign work for racial equality in the fashion world, together with Franca Sozzani of Vogue Italia, Naomi continues to shoot model TV show The Face in the UK, USA and Australia. In between also making guest appearances at the “non-English speaking shows” in China and Brazil, Campbell revealed she will also release two image-based books this year. “One is a picture book and the other one is where I have written on little pictures of Christy [Turlington], Kate [Moss] and Myself”.
There also will be an anthology of nude archive images – “from like 15 years ago” – taken by Paolo Riversi, which will be released real soon, despite Naomi always said “They’re not coming out, they’re not coming out!”
And to work at her already very impressive CV, the supermodel, who began her career as a fit model for Azzedine Alaïa, will soon try to start designing herself.
“I used to think that if I started my own line then designers wouldn’t want me to work for them any more, but now I feel different, and I will be doing that. Hopefully the first item will be out in 2015,” Campbell said to Franca Sozzani and Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman.
