Oscar nominees 2014 revealed – The nominees for the 86th Academy Awards were announced on January 16, 2014, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, by Cheryl Boone Isaacs, president of the Academy, and actor Chris Hemsworth The nominees are: American Hustle12 Years A SlaveGravityHerNebraskaPhilomenaDallas Buyers ClubThe Wolf Of Wall Street and Captain Phillips up for Best Film.

Nominated for Best Actress are Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams, Sandra Bullock, Judi Dench and Meryl Streep.

In the Best Actor category are Christian Bale, Bruce Dern, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Matthew McConaughey.
