Pablo Coppola helping Bally to the next level – Friday was announced that Bally has appointed Pablo Coppola as their new design director. The designer made his debut yesterday with his first women’s collection for the Swiss label during Milan Fashion Week.
Coppola was appointed six months ago as an accessory designer at Bally, and now he has the lead over the whole collection. In his new role, Coppola will go over the design of all shoes, bags, accessories, ready-to-wear collections and glasses. The Argentin worked as an accessory designer for Christian Dior, Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Céline. “He’ll help us take Bally to the next level,” said Bally’s chief executive officer, Frederic de Narp.
Bally, founded by Carl Franz Bally & Fritz in 1851, began as a shoe label and started in the basement of the brothers, in the Swiss Schönenwerd. Since then the label has grown into an international fashion label.
