Paris Fashion Week, the Final – Finally, the big day has arrived. What we’ve all been waiting for this season, the debut collection of Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton will be shown this morning. It is expected that Nicolas will bring a new vision to theParis-based fashion house. As a creative director of Balenciaga, he was known to be extremely innovating. Now is expected, he will take Louis Vuitton into a next stage. Marc Jacobs, who was the CEO of the label for the last 16 years, was known for his spectacular shows, like featuring full-scale steam trains. This part of Marc’s legancy is not expected from Ghesquière. The innovatian is expected in the clothing.
“Today is a new day. A big day,” Nicolas said. “You are about to witness my first fashion show for Louis Vuitton. Words can’t express how I am feeling at this moment… Above above all immense joy at being here, in the knowledge that my stylistic expression is at one with the Louis Vuitton philosophy.”
After Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu is next in line. They are known for always bringing some ‘joie de vivre’ to the final of Paris Fashion Week. Bringing on oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and Lea Seydoux, as well as a cast of rising Hollywood stars make us have high expectations of the show.
Looking back at last night’s big shows, starring Alexander McQueen, Valentino and Hermès, we can look forward to the final results of the Fall/Winter 2014 season.
