Uniqlo + Inès de la Fressange – The Japanese brand Uniqlo (known for basics in all colors) is working at a new collection with the French style icon Inès de la Fressange. The launch will be in the first half of 2014. According to the magazine women’s wear daily, this will also be the start of her own brand Inès de la Fressange. An official announcement is expected soon.
De la Fressange is known as an Ambassador of the shoe brand Roger Vivier and as the former face of L ‘ Oréal Paris. In addition, she has also written the book ‘ La Parisienne ‘. The capsule collection will be the first step to relaunch the prêt-à-porter-line of her brand Inès de la Fressange. Demery Fleur is recently appointed head designer and the brand is bought by a group of private investors. The label now just sells shoes, eyeglasses, jewelry, scarves and interior accessories. The collection for Uniqlo has no connection to her own brand.
It is not the first time that Inès de la Fressange is starting a collaboration. Previously she worked together with Jil Sander, Celia Birtwell, Laura Ashley, Orla Kiely, Suno and Lulu Guinness.
