The Italian investment fund Fondo Strategico Italiano (FSI) which is supported by the State has made a bid of over 1 billion on the luxury fashion brand Versace. This is more than sixteen times the annual profit of the company.
There have been bids on Versace several times, but the FSI has a relatively passive character and would fit best at the Versace’s family structure. Their intention is to invest in the company but not to interfere with the content. Donatella Versace owns 20 percent of the Versace shares and her daughter Allegra Beck about 50 percent.
